Deshbhakta Ratnappa Kumbhar College of Commerce (DRKCC), Kolhapur, successfully conducted a specialized workshop on October 13, 2025, titled "Changes in Admission, Examination, and Administration with reference to NEP-2020 and AI." The session was organized for all teaching and non-teaching faculty across the B.Com, BBA, BCA, B.Sc, M.Com, and MBA departments. The program was presided over by Hon. Shri. Vishwanath Magdum, Secretary of the Council of Education, and presented by Mr. Ashish Vyavahare, Vice President of Mastersoft ERP Solutions Pvt. Ltd., as the keynote speaker. The primary objective was to align the institution’s operational framework with the mandates of the National Education Policy 2020 while leveraging modern technology.

 During the workshop, Mr. Vyavahare provided critical insights into how Artificial Intelligence (AI) and automated ERP systems are revolutionizing traditional administrative workflows. The discussion focused on streamlining the Admission and Examination modules to ensure transparency and efficiency under the new policy guidelines. Practical demonstrations highlighted how AI can assist in data management and personalized student services, reducing the manual burden on staff. The session concluded with an interactive Q&A, where Principal Prof. Dr. (Mrs.) V. V. Maindargi emphasized the necessity of these technological shifts for a smooth transition into the next phase of academic excellence.

Online Quiz Series for Business Statistics Paper I

 Department of Statistics, Deshbhakta Ratnappa Kumbhar College of Commerce (DRKCC), Kolhapur, successfully conducted a series of 13 online quizzes for students of B.Com. II (Semester III) as part of the Business Statistics Paper I course. This initiative was designed to integrate modern ICT tools into the curriculum, ensuring that students remain engaged with the subject matter outside the traditional classroom setting. Each quiz was strategically aligned with the syllabus modules – ranging from data collection and measures of central tendency to dispersion and correlation – providing a continuous assessment framework that encouraged consistent study habits throughout the semester.

The primary objective of this activity was to acquaint students with the digital evaluation process, preparing them for the increasing shift toward online examinations in professional and competitive spheres. By participating in these 13 assessments, students benefited from a personalized learning experience; the immediate feedback provided by the online platform allowed individuals to identify their specific strengths and weaknesses in statistical calculations and conceptual theory. This personalized approach not only boosted student confidence in handling quantitative data but also streamlined the evaluation process for faculty, ensuring a transparent, data-driven, and highly efficient method of tracking academic progress.
