There were 90 students (Roll numbers starting from 501 to 590) admitted in B. Com. II, Division E, Marathi Medium for the academic year 2019-2020. Dr. N. H. Jadhav has appointed as Mentor for this class. So, the mentor to mentee ratio for this class is 1 : 90.

The role of mentor is very crucial as far as student’s overall development is concerned. Following were some descriptive statistics which explore the information of mentees.

Activities conducted under Mentoring Scheme

The following activities were conducted for B. Com. II, Division E students under mentoring scheme throughout the year.

·       Seminar is conducted for the students to enhance stage daring and problem-solving ability.

·       Reference books were given to students to enhance the depth of subject knowledge.

 

·       Some skill-oriented guidance like drawing a graph, plotting trend lines on graph were given specially to weaker and slow learners.

 

·       Lecture notes were provided to students (specially, for slow learners).

 

·       Students were guided and trained to submit online feedback on syllabus. Also, students were advised to help parents in the process of submission on online syllabus.

 

·       Online multiple-choice quiz assignments were prepared and students were directed to solve the same online.

 

·       Hands on experience regarding computation of some descriptive statistics like mean, median, mode, SD, correlation etc. on MS-EXCEL software were given.

 

·       Also, the students were guided about how to browse online websites, blogs, books, video lectures and other related e-contents.

 

·       The copy of syllabus and past all university examinations question papers in e-format (soft copies) made available to slow, advanced and all learners.

 

·       Felicitation of highest mark holder student by clapping in front of whole class was done to encourage the advanced learners. 

 

·       To encourage the advanced learners, SUSTA Basic Statistics Quiz fee to appear for forthcoming quiz of highest mark holder in the subject Business Statistics were paid by the department.

 

·       Students were encouraged to participate in essay competition.

 

·       Video lectures were prepared and shared on the departmental blog for the purpose of online teaching and learning.
